Jeff was destined
to be in the marketing business. He is from
a long line of arts and communications pros,
including parents who were missionary publishers
in Central America. A variety of cultural
and creative influences – combined with
formal training at Stephen F. Austin State
University – give Jeff a unique perspective
on both marketing and life.
Jeff’s first independent venture was
Source Communications, a graphic design group
that grew into a full-service ad agency, Millet
& Fox, within two years. In 1991, Jeff
joined David Holmes to form Holmes Millet
Advertising. Jeff not only is a talented designer,
but also has a strong sense of the power of
the brand. He has created brand identities
and directed advertising projects for hundreds
of companies, including Diageo/Crown Royal,
Courtyard by Marriott, Frito Lay, GTE, Pepsi,
Subway, Dodge Trucks and more. His sports
and entertainment marketing experience includes
promoting The Dallas Mavericks and The Big
12 Conference, plus work with celebrities
such as Ringo Starr, The Dixie Chicks, Gloria
Estefan and others.
Jeff’s ability to be unfazed by the
most difficult marketing challenges may directly
correlate to the time he spends cleaning out
horse stalls at his “ranchito”
in the rural town of Ovilla, Texas. His home’s
country setting allows plenty of time for
two of Jeff’s favorite leisure activities:
playing with his kids and riding his horses.
